Prof. Joseph's Achievement

Prof. Joseph and the team of Pollution Control Chemists, Vennikulam University, have tied up with the Research Institute in Italy & Birmingham - Queen Mary University, London for the usage of an IoT based Wireless Monitoring System. This system will increase the number of 24 X 7 Monitoring Networks by 7-fold in Kochi, Trivandrum, Kollam, Calicut, Thrissur, Mangalore, and parts of Coastal Kerala & India and finally a network of Android & Windows-based Smartphones with a Battery Backup of up to 30 minutes.

VU bags District-level Agricultural Award

Vennikulam University of Science and Technology has bagged the district-level award instituted by the Department of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare, Government of Kerala, Agricultural Minister, for its innovative approach in enhancing agriculture productivity through the first position in the Institutional Category for the agricultural awards. Lecturers of National Service Scheme (NSS), School Management Studies, and School of Agriculture and HSE&PE played a crucial role in this achievement.

Patent granted to VU researchers for developing antibacterial biocompatible films

Vennikulam University's Department of Polymer Chemistry has been granted a patent for developing new antibacterial biocompatible films, which are instrumental in the medical field for treating burn patients, preventing wound infections, and even in the food packaging industry to prevent contamination.

Two women from VU bag prestigious Fulbright scholarships

Dr. Devi Suryaprabha and Dr. Chandra Vardhini R. have been awarded Fulbright scholarships by Vennikulam University worth Rs 1.5 million and Rs 750 thousand respectively. It is a proud moment for the School of Management Studies (SMS) of Vennikulam University of Science and Technology (VUST), as excellent research proposals from two women have been recognized by the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF). VUST is promoting academic excellence and collaboration for intellectual and professional development among scholars in India.

VU Syndicate Member bags IEEE Outstanding Teacher Award

Dr. Sreejith S. (VU Syndicate Member, Vennikulam University of Science and Technology) bagged Outstanding Teacher Award 2021, instituted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The award is in recognition of his innovative teaching contributions in the field of electrical engineering and his dedication to the IEEE Kerala Chapter.

Dr. Ramki Nithin Jay, Assistant Professor, School of Management Studies, Vennikulam University of Science and Technology, has won the Vocational Excellence Award 2021 under the Industrial category of B-Sir Professional Achievement. The award is instituted by the Rotary International in recognition of outstanding contributions in the field of vocational training and skill development.

ESA identifies ACARR as a Validating Center of AEOLUS Satellite Mission

The ESA (European Space Agency) has identified the Advanced Center for Atmospheric Radar Research (ACARR), Vennikulam University of Science and Technology, as a validating center for its AEOLUS Satellite Mission. VU develops an ingenious model for breast cancer grading in association with Intel

Ltd. The technology aims to aid pathologists in grading breast cancer with higher accuracy and efficiency.

One Crore Grant for Cancer Research

One Crore Grant for VU for Study in Cancer Research

Vennikulam University of Science and Technology will get one crore rupees to study the role of microRNA in carcinogenesis. The fellowship has been awarded to Dr. Rithwik Ram from the National Institute of Health (NIH), in association with Dr. Eddy Chakravarthy, Ph.D., Center for NeuroScience. This proposal holds key importance in understanding cancer biology and in initiating effective treatments for patients.

Cancer Treatment without Drugs

VU Researchers develop Magneto-plasmonic nanofluid for treatment of cancer without drugs

Dr. Akshara R., Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Vennikulam University of Science and Technology, has developed a magneto-plasmonic nanofluid which can be used to treat cancer without drugs. The findings of this study have significant implications for the field of cancer treatment. The collaborative research with the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, is showing promising results.

Best University Award

VU bagged Chancellor’s Award for the Best University in the State three times in last four years

The Vennikulam University of Science and Technology has received the Chancellor's Award 2021 from the Hon. Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammed Khan. VU has topped the Chancellor's list of universities in the state. VU had previously won this award in 2017 and 2019 as well.

NIRF India Rankings

VU secures 44th Position in NIRF India Rankings 2021: University

Vennikulam University of Science and Technology (VUST) came 44th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) India Rankings 2021 in the University category, retaining its position from last year. VUST has maintained its standing in the university rankings for 2020-21 as a top-tier institution.
